Your tasks.
Your space.

2do runs locally on Windows. Your tasks and notes live in your Windows account, ready for the next time you open the dashboard.

Install once. Open from the tray.

The blue checkmark keeps 2do within reach. Closing the browser leaves the app running; choose Quit from the tray when you’re done.

Your data stays with you.

No app account or cloud sync. Installation doesn’t connect ChatGPT, email, or messaging accounts. The dashboard opens in Chrome on this PC.

05 / A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

A clearer
starting point.

Can I create my own groups?

Yes. A fresh installation has no groups, tasks, or notes. Select Manage groups to add your own names, rename an existing group, or change the order with Move up and Move down. Delete is available only for groups with no tasks, including completed tasks. Upgrading keeps your existing groups and records.

Where are my tasks and notes stored?

In your Windows account at %LOCALAPPDATA%\2do\data\tasks.sqlite. Your installed program files live separately. Quit 2do before copying the entire data folder for a backup.

Will an update or uninstall erase my tasks?

The installer retains your data folder during an upgrade or uninstall. Reinstalling reconnects to that Windows user’s existing database. Keep a separate backup of records you want to preserve.

Does this connect to ChatGPT or my other apps?

No automatic connection is included. Installation does not read conversations, email, or messages. The included task helper can support a separately configured local workflow; see the getting started guide.

Can I use it offline?

The local dashboard and saved tasks work without an internet connection. Opening a source link to an online document or conversation still requires access to that service.

Can I use it on my phone, Mac, or another PC?

This installer supports Windows x64 and serves the dashboard only on the same PC by default. It does not enable phone access or sync tasks between devices.

How do I add a task?

Create a group with Manage groups, then open Start → 2do → Add a task to 2do and follow the text prompts. The helper can also create your first group. Choose a group and optionally add a due date and notes. Use the dashboard to change a task’s status, priority, group, or date and to append notes.
